About
I am a Lecturer in Philosophy (TT equivalent) at The Australian National University. My research lies at the intersection of epistemology, philosophy of mind, and cognitive science.
I received my PhD in philosophy from Cornell and my BA from Wuhan University. Before joining ANU, I was an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at NYU Shanghai and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Antwerp's Center for Philosophical Psychology. My CV is available here.
My latest article, “Metacognition in Aphantasia: Taking the ‘Conscious’ View Seriously” (2026, Neuropsychologia), argues that metacognitive evidence supports conscious visual imagery in aphantasia.
